A very contemporary and original approach to Wildlife Photography. I have seen this style on inanimate objects, but never before on something like Zebras. I loved the style when I saw them.
Images are available as limited edition prints, signed with a hologram and certificate for authenticity by Antony Blake.
Each print is handprinted by the artist approved fine art printer, each image is overseen by the artist before signing. The paper, printer and inks are all hand selected by the artist. Selecting the size of print is based upon available wall space to compliment the surroundings and situ.
Print sizes refer to the paper size including a border not the image size. Mounted prints are matted using off white PH-neutral lignin-free board. Prices on application.
I have chosen to print on Hahnemulhe Fine Art Paper from a company that has been making paper since 1548. Each print is signed as a limited edition and then for authenticity comes with a hologram and certificate to ensure proof for the future.
The Paper is a Cotton Rag Pearl finish an award winning genuine artist paper. As an artist I use Hahnemühle FineArt products with a premium inkjet coating for exclusive reproduction in a superior gallery and museum standard. The paper provides the impressive highest standards of colour range, depth, contrast, rendering and colour gradation. This enables extraordinary print results.
The Certificate of Authenticity was designed to protect the security and authenticity of your limited edition print, to reduce the risk of forgery and the any deviation from the artists requests. Each certificate is made from premium deckle edged mould paper with a watermark and fluorescent security fibres with a serial numbered, combined assures that each Certificate of Authenticity relates to one specific piece of art.
I have two recommendations for framing to suit different budgets. The focus is on the glass selected in the presentation of the prints. Here there are two options, the standard framers glass and the museum grade glass, this glass often present a 65% uplift on the price, but has to be seen to be believed. The small image to the right shows the difference between anti-reflective and standard just in a small picture.
The first is standard glass with a high grade frame from bespoke framers, the second is to use the same high grade framing but complimented with Museum glass which is reflection and colour cast free. The second option obviously attracts a higher price but presents both the image and paper to the highest standards and depending upon the positioning may also provide more hanging options given the reflectiveness and light casts within a hanging space.
When requested or recommended I like to use Bainbridge Alphamat Artcare mount boards. These boards pro-long the life of your limited edition print helping in all four of the following areas. Fade Resistance, Bleed Resistance, Ageing Resistance and with the Artcare filter it traps and neutralises air-borne acids and free acids protecting the image. In selecting only the finest quality materials, I believe the image is not only presented at it’s best but persevered for the longest times.
The Elephant imagery just draws you into the scene, like a window into the life of the animal.Go for a big as you can manage or afford the window just gets better.
